Izzy Geraci Joins TMRW Sports as Pro Flag Football Ambassador

TMRW Sports announced Tuesday that Isabella "Izzy" Geraci will serve as a professional flag football ambassador and spokesperson for the new pro league it is building in partnership with the NFL. The announcement, made from the company's Orlando base, comes nine days after Geraci helped the United States women's national team win silver at the 2026 IFAF Flag Football World Championship in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Geraci joins Ashlea Klam, named the league's first ambassador on June 24, and Vanita Krouch, who signed on earlier this month and also leads player relations for the league. The three form the athlete-facing front of an organization that has spent 2026 assembling the infrastructure for professional flag football: an operating agreement with the NFL in March, a senior executive hire in April, an architect for its first venue in July, and now a third marquee name from the national team program.

A World Championship Résumé

Geraci arrived in Düsseldorf as one of the sport's most productive receivers and left with the numbers to match. Over the August 13 to 16 tournament she recorded 292 receiving yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions, playing both wide receiver and defensive back as the U.S. women advanced past Germany and Great Britain before falling to Canada 27-20 in the gold medal game. It was the first world title for Canada's women in 12 years and the first loss in a final for a U.S. women's program that had won the previous three.

The silver gave Geraci her fourth international medal in roughly two years. She won gold at the 2024 IFAF World Championship in her national team debut, catching 39 passes for 464 yards and five touchdowns, then tied for the team lead with 10 touchdown receptions at The World Games in 2025, where the U.S. again took silver behind Mexico.

From the Hardwood to the Podium

Geraci's route into the sport is one reason TMRW Sports sees her as a recruiting story as much as a playing one. A native of North Ridgeville, Ohio, she played four seasons of Division I basketball at Cleveland State, helping the Vikings win the 2021 Women's Basketball Invitational, then transferred to USC Upstate for a fifth year in which she started every game, averaged 10.0 points and 6.7 rebounds, and was named the program's Female Newcomer of the Year. She made the U.S. national team in March 2024, less than a year after returning to a sport she first played at age seven.

Building the Roster Before the League

For TMRW Sports, the ambassador program is a way to attach identifiable athletes to a league that does not yet have teams, a schedule or a home city. Brendan Donohue, president of flag football at TMRW Sports, framed the additions as a deliberate alignment with the players who built the sport's audience.

"As we build a professional flag football league with the NFL, we're locking arms with the players who have shaped the sport. Izzy has done exactly that through her incredible performances on the global stage, her dynamic personality and her connection with flag football fans," Donohue said. "Izzy joins Ashlea and Vanita to give us a trio of superstars who will help guide our efforts to create a world-class organization dedicated to pro flag football."

The league is targeting a launch ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Games, with NFL executive vice president Peter O'Reilly previously pointing to a late spring or summer 2027 start and confirming plans for both a combine and a draft. In July, TMRW Sports selected Populous as the architect for the first purpose-built flag football stadium, a modular, broadcast-oriented venue whose host city is still under evaluation. The investor group includes all 32 NFL club owners along with institutional investors and current and former NFL players.

The Wider Runway

The timing of the ambassador push tracks the sport's growth curve. More than 20 million people play flag football worldwide, and roughly 4.1 million American youth play it, an increase of more than 50 percent since 2020. Flag football is now sanctioned in high schools in 40 states, with girls' participation up nearly 60 percent from 2024 to 2025, and more than 250 colleges and universities offer women's programming. The NCAA has added the sport to its Emerging Sports for Women program and voted this spring to recommend that Divisions I, II and III create a National Collegiate Flag Football Championship as early as spring 2028.

What that ecosystem has lacked is a professional tier. Geraci, Klam and Krouch are being asked to sell one that does not exist yet, to an audience that will meet the sport at scale for the first time when it debuts at the Los Angeles Olympics in July 2028. Canada's women and men, Italy's men, Mexico's women and both U.S. teams have already qualified from Düsseldorf, which means the athletes fronting the league will spend the next two years competing for medals and recruiting for a payroll at the same time.
