The flag of Israel has an all white background with two horizontal stripes of blue, one near the very top and one near the very bottom. In the center of the Israeli national flag is the Star of David also in blue.

Many Palestinians fled the new state of Israel. Israel stood up and fought during the Arab Israeli wars. In 1967, Israel had control over Sinai, Golan Height, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip.
