Costa Rica Flag

Costa Rica is located in Central America bordering on both the North Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea between Panama and Nicaragua. Their capital and largest city is San José and the official language is Spanish.

November 27, 1906 was the official adoption date of the Costa Rica flag. In 1848, they created and used the tricolor, horizontal red, white, and blue flag of Costa Rica. This was the time when Costa Rica declared it a sovereign republic and left the federal republic of Central America.
