Cambodia Flag

The Kingdom of Cambodia is in southeastern Asia bordering on the Gulf of Thailand between Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. Some of Cambodia’s former names include State of Cambodia, People’s Republic of Kampuchea, Democratic Kampuchea, and Khuner Republic. Cambodia’s population is just over fourteen million people and their capital is Phnom Penh, which is also the largest city. The official language spoken in Cambodia is Khmer.

After the elections in 1993, they readopted the Cambodian flag because the monarchy returned to rule. Since 1850, the flag of Cambodia has portrayed an Angkor Wat in the Cambodia flag center. On the Cambodia flag emblem detail an Angkor Wat is a temple built in the early twelfth century for King Suryavarman in Angkor, Cambodia.
